Marjet Zwaans is a visual artist whose interdisciplinary practice spans ecological economics, spatial installation, vocal performance, and collaborative gatherings. Based between Amsterdam and Pikin Slee, Suriname, Zwaans explores themes of interdependence and regenerative systems in her work, prioritising sustainable scale and the redistribution of resources over traditional ideas of productivity and efficiency.
Her ongoing project Correspondence for Choir has been presented in various venues, including Framer Framed, Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee radio, and Villa Mondriaan. Zwaans is also active within the artist collectives Collectief Un Prati a Patu (CUPP) and Totomboti. Her participation in the 2022 Norway training week of the Erasmus+ project Working in LANDscapes provided her with an opportunity to collaborate with other artists, furthering her exploration of site-specific and landscape-responsive practices.
