Sofie Doeland is a Dutch visual artist specializing in scenography and installation art. She graduated in 2011 from the Scenography program at the Amsterdam University of the Arts. Since then, she has worked as a freelance scenographer, theatre maker, and installation artist. Her practice is deeply rooted in location-based work, often drawing inspiration from the specific characteristics of a place. Doeland’s installations aim to offer audiences a renewed perspective on the everyday, transforming overlooked spaces into sites of reflection and engagement.
In 2022, Doeland participated in the Erasmus+ project Working in LANDscapes, attending training weeks in Slovakia and Norway.
