WOVEN is a collaborative architectural collective founded in 2014 by four Slovak architects—Anna Cséfalvay, Marianna Maczová, Veronika Michalíková, and Danica Pišteková. The collective specializes in small-scale architecture, temporary structures, and public space interventions. Their work often involves playful layering of ideas to create micro-environments that invite users to participate in defining the use and understanding of the space. Projects include public furniture, exhibition systems, and educational events, with a focus on engaging communities and enhancing the built environment.
In 2022, Veronika Michalíková participated in both the Slovakia and Norway training weeks of the Erasmus+ project Working in LANDscapes. These experiences allowed her to collaborate with fellow artists and deepen her exploration of site-specific, landscape-responsive practices, further enriching WOVEN’s interdisciplinary approach to architecture.
